Kaoru Rauter
 Kaoru is disciplined in the Japanese arts of drawing and Kamakura carving. From the age of eight she practised the art of Sumi e, a discipline involving meditation and the processing of liquid charcoal for calligraphy and traditional brushwork.
Her childhood memories are of being surrounded by art and artists. Both her parents supported many Japanese artists and her mother taught English and traditional Japanese art in private secondary colleges. Such is Kaoru's commitment that she has drawn every day for as long as she can remember.
Kaoru’s Artwork Accepted for the 2010 Annual Hakujitsu Exhibition
 Kaoru is very proud to have one of her paintings, ‘Red Earth’, recently accepted into the prestigious Hakujitsu annual exhibition held at Tokyo’s New National Gallery.
